G Akebono amplified

This cosmic drum is tuned to the Japanese G Akebono mode.
 
The Japanese pentatonic mode Akebono  offers an ethnic and relaxing color. It recalls the distant landscapes of the Land of the Rising Sun et  evokes a Zen atmosphere conducive to meditation.
Pentatonic scales (range composed of five different notes) are frequently used in blues, jazz as well as in African and Asian music.
 
The notes are G, A , Bb , D, Eb, G, A,  Bb.
 
A pair of felt drumsticks is included with the instrument. You can add a pair of rubber drumsticks to your pack, which offer more percussive sounds. We also recommend an optional bag to protect your cosmic drum.
 
We make the cosmic drums by hand at home, in Burgundy, from recycled gas cylinders.
 
Being musicians, we tune them precisely.
 
Our cosmic drums range from 6  to 12 notes, each instrument is unique.
